Yuzhang Prefecture
Yuzhang County, the name of the county, was set up in the southern part of the Han Dynasty during the Chu and Han Dynasties. It governs Nanchang county (in today's Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province). In the Han Dynasty, Yuzhang County ruled Nanchang, and its jurisdiction was roughly the same as that of Jiangxi Province. In the late Western Han Dynasty, it was subordinate to the Department of governor of Yangzhou. At the end of Han Dynasty, sun Qili set up Luling County in Yuzhang County, and sun Quanli set up Pengze County and Poyang County in Yuzhang county. After the Western Jin Dynasty, its jurisdiction gradually narrowed. In Sui and Tang Dynasties, Yuzhang county was changed to Hongzhou.

The Western Han Dynasty

In the 12th year, Liu Xi, king of Chengyang, became king of Huainan. In 164bc, Liu Xi also granted Chengyang the title of Lujiang state with Lujiang and Yuzhang counties, and granted liuci, the eldest son of Li king of Huainan and Marquis of Zhou Yang, the title of Lujiang king. In the fourth year of emperor Jing (153 BC), Liu Ci, the king of Lujiang, was moved to Hengshan, and the state of Lujiang was removed, and Lujiang and Yuzhang were restored. In the second year of Yuanshou reign of Emperor Wu (121 BC), Lujiang County was newly established in the north of the Yangtze River.
