Life
During the Anti Japanese War, he entered the second branch of Shanxi Chahar Hebei Anti Japanese military and Political University in 1940. He has successively served as the chief of the education section of Yi county and Longhua County Governments in Shanxi Chahar Hebei border district, the chief of the people's education section of Pingbei special administration, the director of the Urban Work Department of Longguan Chongli Xuanhua Union County Committee, and the director of the Education Bureau of Zhangjiakou Municipal Government. during the war of liberation, after October 1945, he successively served as the chief of the people's education section of Chabei and Rexi sub regional special offices, Secretary of the CPC Weichang County Party committee and head of Weichang County. after the founding of the people's Republic of China, he successively served as the director of the Highway Bureau of Rehe Province, the director of the agriculture and Forestry Department of Rehe Province, and the deputy director of the finance and Planning Committee of Rehe province. In November 1957, he participated in the preparatory work of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. In October 1958, he was the director of Planning Committee of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and vice chairman of Ningxia people's government. During the "Cultural Revolution", he was framed and persecuted by Lin Biao and the counter revolutionary group of the gang of four, and suffered great physical and mental damage. In March 1973, he was transferred to Yinchuan City as director of Yinchuan reform committee, Secretary of CPC Yinchuan Municipal Committee, and political commissar of Yinchuan police district. After smashing the gang of four, he successively served as vice chairman and chairman of the people's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Secretary of the CPC Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Party committee. He is a deputy to the 11th and 12th National Congresses of the Communist Party of China, a member of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the CPC Central Committee, a deputy to the 5th National People's Congress, a standing member of the 6th and 7th National Committees of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, and a chairman of the Ethnic Affairs Committee of the CPPCC National Committee. He died of illness in Beijing on October 5, 1999 at the age of 82.
