Wang minchao was born in 1952 in Dongguan, Guangdong Province. He graduated from the Department of business administration, Armstrong college, California, USA with an honorary degree. He received a master's degree in Business Administration from Florida Institute of technology. He was the first vice chairman of the Baoliang bureau from 1983 to 1984. Former Hong Kong Swimming representative, one of the Wang family members of China shipyard, is the son of Founder Wang Huasheng. His elder brother is Wang Mingang, deputy to the 10th National People's Congress.
