Character evaluation
The greatest warrior
On December 4, 1952, the people's Daily called it the great soldier Qiu Shaoyun.
The most enduring latent
Commentary of the TV documentary moving China - 100 people of the Republic: Qiu Shaoyun: the most persevering lurk is explained as follows: This is an ordinary steel gun stored in the exhibition hall of the Chinese people's Revolutionary Military Museum. The butt of its gun has been burnt to charcoal black, but the body is still intact. And the fragments of military clothes, the size of a slap, once clung to the last heartbeat of the martyrs. Although the fire devoured a young life, it left a great name in the history of Chinese military: Qiu Shaoyun. In the Korean battlefield more than half a century ago, this Sichuan soldier used the most stoic lurking to complete the most courageous assault of Chinese soldiers.
The second brother I miss most
On April 21, 2015, when Qiu Shaoyun's younger brother, 85 years old, learned that his second brother's deeds had been questioned, he raised his intonation eight degrees and said excitedly: "rumor making and nonsense are nonsense!"
Qiu Shaohua said to the news about his second brother Qiu Shaoyun on the Internet: it's all nonsense. Before attacking the 391 highland, the leaders said that for the sake of the position and victory, we should observe discipline and not expose the target. If we move, we will not win. Qiu Shaoyun sacrificed himself for the sake of the whole and could only endure.
If we want to turn public opinion upside down, we can't let them talk nonsense. Why should we say such things? I can't stand these people. It's the enemy who messed up the society and killed the dog. What a shame these people didn't see about Qiu Shaoyun!
The most important thing the second brother left to the whole family: spiritual wealth, an honor. Live in this family and do a good job. In Tongliang, if you don't do it well, others will blame you.
My second brother left me the most impressive thing: the letter he wrote to us. After the second brother was arrested, he wrote a letter to his family. He told us that their troops had revolted in Longquanyi, Chengdu, and they would not come back until they had wiped out imperialism. Later, he died. The letter and the letters from all over the country could not be found.
Now I miss my second brother. I think about it every day. During the Chinese New Year and the half of July, outside the house, I order a stick of incense, put on a few bowls of vegetables and ask him to come back to eat. I can't play together if I want to. I'm too old to go to Shenyang to see him.
Life of the characters
Miserable childhood
Qiu Shaoyun was born in 1926 in a poor peasant family in Shaoyun Town, Tongliang County. He lost his parents when he was young. His father, who made a living pushing a boat for others, was killed on the boat by the owner of the boat. Soon his mother died of poverty and illness at the head of the bed.
Qiu Shaoyun lost his father at the age of 9 and his mother at the age of 11. At the age of 13, he began his long-term work career. Because of his poor family, Qiu Shaoyun did not go to school. After joining the PLA, he practiced his skills of killing the enemy while learning to write.
Looking forward to a savior
In 1948, under the order of Chairman Mao of the CPC Central Committee, Liu Deng's army went south and liberated Chengdu in December 1949. Accordingly, Sichuan was liberated. Qiu Shaoyun's family and the hardworking people in the world were reborn. The sun came out and the Communist Party came to the rescue. Qiu Shaoyun resolutely joined the Chinese people's Liberation Army as a PLA soldier.
Glorious enlistment
In December 1949, the people's Liberation Army entered Sichuan and marched into the southwest. After the Chengdu campaign, the Sichuan army collapsed. Qiu Shaoyun joined the Chinese people's Liberation Army and was added to the ninth company of the 87th regiment of the 29th division of the 10th PLA at that time.
In the autumn of 1950, he joined the company in suppressing bandits in Neijiang area of Sichuan Province. He took part in the battle with illness in Gaoliang Town, took the lead, went deep into the bandit nest, killed and injured more than 10 bandits, and cooperated with his comrades to capture the bandit leader alive.
On March 25, 1951, Qiu Shaoyun was a member of the Chinese people's Volunteer Army.
Fighting in Korea
In March 1951, he joined the Chinese people's Volunteer Army and went to Korea to fight. On the way to the front line, he braved the strafing bombing of US aircraft and rescued a Korean child from a burning residential house.
Heroic sacrifice
In October 1952, the unit was responsible for attacking the U.N. outpost 391, headed by the U.S. military to the west of Jinhua. The front of the highland is an open area. In order to shorten the offensive distance and facilitate a sudden attack, the army organized more than 500 people to lurk in the front of the enemy's front on the 11th night. His platoon lurked in the Artemisia grass, which is only 60 meters away from the front of the enemy's front at the east foot of the highland.
At about 12 o'clock on October 12, the US military blindly fired incendiary bombs. One of the incendiary bombs landed near his latent point, and the grass immediately started to burn. The fire quickly spread to him, burning his cotton padded clothes. In order not to expose the target, to ensure the safety of all the lurking personnel and the completion of the attack task, he gave up self-help, clenched his teeth, let the fire scorch his hair and skin, and persisted for more than 30 minutes until he died.
Inspired by Qiu Shaoyun's great dedication, the counterattack troops successfully captured 391 highland that night and annihilated a strengthened company of the US Army.
Heroic deeds
On June 25, 1950, the Korean War broke out, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea launched an attack, and the Republic of Korea gradually retreated, appealing to the United States and other allies for help. In order to maintain its leading position and interests in Asia, President Truman authorized US troops in South Korea to attack the Korean army on that day. On July 7, 1950, the United Nations adopted resolution 84, which authorized the United Nations led by the United States to intervene in the Korean War by force. On the same day, the people's Republic of China established the northeast frontier army (later renamed the Chinese people's Volunteer Army). If the Korean people's army is defeated, China can quickly send troops into the DPRK to help the DPRK fight against the United Nations troops headed by the United States.
On September 15, 1950, the U.S. army landed in Incheon, the situation in the Korean battlefield reversed, and the Korean people's army retreated. Because North Korea blocked military intelligence from China, the war broke out without prior notice to China, which made Chinese leaders quite dissatisfied. However, when the United States directly participated in the war, it still expressed its support for North Korea. The Chinese government expressed its firm protest against the US led "16 nations united nations army" attacking the Korean people's army, but the US military ignored it and pushed forward to the border between China and North Korea. At the same time, US planes repeatedly invaded China's airspace and bombed Dandong, burning the war to the Yalu River, seriously threatening the people's Republic of China, who had just turned one year old. At this critical moment, the Party Central Committee and Chairman Mao Zedong wisely decided to send the Chinese people's volunteers to Korea to fight side by side with the heroic Korean people and the Korean people's army against aggression.
In March 1951, in response to Chairman Mao's great call to "Resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea and defend the country," Qiu Shaoyun joined the Chinese people's Volunteer Army. When he came to Korea, he saw that the US imperialists and the Lee Seung Wan Gang did all kinds of evil to the Korean people by burning, killing, robbing and plundering them. Seeing North Korean children suffer the same suffering as they did in their childhood has aroused Qiu Shaoyun's hatred for the imperialist reactionaries. We should make every effort to defeat the American aggressors.
In October 1952, Qiu Shaoyun's company accepted a glorious and arduous task, that is, to eliminate the US and Li bandit forces in the 391 highland between pingkang and Jinhua, and push the front to the south. However, there is a 3000 meter wide open area between our army base and 391 highland. This is the enemy's artillery blockade area. It is not easy to impact under such a long-distance artillery fire. Therefore, in order to shorten the impact distance and surprise the enemy, our army decided to hide its troops in the front of the enemy's position the night before launching the general attack.
Battle oath
In the middle of October 1952, Qiu Shaoyun's battalion was ordered to take on the latent task in a battle to resist US aggression and aid Korea. Before he lurked, Qiu Shaoyun submitted an application for joining the party to the Party branch, which read: "he would rather sacrifice himself than expose his goal. He is willing to give everything for the sake of the whole, for the sake of victory, for the sake of the liberation cause of the Chinese and Korean people and all mankind." During the mission, Qiu Shaoyun was lurking in the grass more than 60 meters away from the enemy's front position when the enemy suddenly approached the lurking area. In order to cover the lurking troops, the command post ordered the artillery to attack the enemy. After being attacked, the enemy sent out planes for reconnaissance, and blindly launched reconnaissance incendiary bombs. A incendiary bomb just landed on Qiu Shaoyun's side, and the flying sparks splashed on his left leg, burning his cotton padded clothes, hair and skin. But for no reason
