Sang arc (December 22, 1916 - September 1, 2004) was born in Shanghai. His original name was Li Peilin. He was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. He is a director and screenwriter in mainland China.

In 1941, Li Peilin wrote his first screenplay "soul and flesh" in the name of "Sang arc". In 1944, he directed his first film, long live the teacher. In 1947, he directed the plot movie "no plot". In 1949, he directed the love movie middle age. In 1954, the drama film Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai (Yue Opera), which was edited and directed by himself, won the gold medal of excellent film from the Ministry of culture of China. In 1956, director of the plot film "blessing" won the silver hat award of Mexico International Film Festival. In 1962, he directed the plot film The Adventures of the magician. In 1965, he directed the Art Documentary Shanghai Spring. In 1972, he directed the stage play "white haired girl" (Dance Drama). In 1975, he co directed the plot film "the second spring" with Wang Xiuwen. In 1979, he directed the comedy "they and them", which won the excellent film award of the Ministry of culture of China. In 1981, he co directed the plot film midnight with Fu Jinggong. In 1984, he directed the plot film "you yuan", which won the excellent film award of the Ministry of culture of China. In 1986, the plot film "the girl director's boyfriend" directed by him was released. In 1990, he directed the Peking opera art film Cao Cao and Yang Xiu.

On September 1, 2004, sang arc died of illness at the age of 88.

In 1983, he directed the plot film "spray and sand" co starred by Chen Yanhua, Ling Yun and Gu Langhui. On September 1, 2004, sang arc died of illness at the age of 88.

Personal life

In 1946, sang arc got to know Zhang Ailing through Ke Ling's introduction. Later, they cooperated with each other in a number of films and developed feelings. In 1951, sang married an outsider. In 1952, Zhang Ailing left Shanghai for Hong Kong; since then, Zhang Ailing and sang arc have never met again.
