Yan Ming was born in Yangzhou in 1961. He graduated from China Academy of Fine Arts (former national Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts) in 1988. He was admitted to Yangzhou Academy of traditional Chinese painting and engaged in artistic creation. He worked in Yangzhou daily as an artist. At present, he is the director of the calligraphy and painting creation room of Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum, a full-time painter and a national first-class artist. He is a member of China Artists Association. He is a member of the national art foundation of China, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Art senior title Committee, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Center for international cultural exchange, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Friendship Association, an adjunct professor of the Department of art, Kenneth University, Georgia, USA, and a visiting professor of national Chenggong University, Taiwan.
Artistic achievements
His works have been selected into national and provincial major exhibitions and published in national key academic core journals. Some of his works have been collected by national collection institutions. from 1998 to 2001, at the invitation of the cultural departments of Germany and Austria, he went to Frankfurt and Vienna to hold personal art exhibitions respectively. Several solo and joint exhibitions have been held in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
