Character experience

Graduated from Department of civil engineering of Dalian Institute of technology in 1957. Professor of Tianjin University, founder, academic leader and doctoral supervisor of coastal, port and offshore engineering. He has been engaged in teaching and scientific research of coastal engineering and port engineering for a long time.

Main contributions

In the field of coastal dynamics, especially the coastal sediment movement and the local scour around the marine structures have been studied deeply. He co authored a monograph on coastal and estuarine dynamics and published more than 70 papers.

Award winning record

His research achievements have won the "most outstanding paper award" of the 6th International Conference on hydraulics Asia Pacific Regional Conference (1988, Kyoto, Japan), the qianning sediment Science Award, the second prize of Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award and many other awards.
