Fang Qi, male, was born in Beijing in March 1956. In January 1992, he received his doctorate from Nanjing University, and then entered the post doctoral mobile station of condensed matter physics of Shandong University. After leaving the station in February 1994, he worked in the State Key Laboratory of crystal materials of Shandong University, and successively served as associate professor and Professor (since 1997). He has been a visiting researcher in the Department of chemistry of Hong Kong University of science and technology and the Department of chemistry of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a visiting scholar in the Department of chemistry of Durham University (2007.3-2007.9). In 1996, he won the second prize of science and technology progress of Shandong Province (the first prize winner). In 2002, he published principles of crystallography (National Defense Industry Press). In 2004, he won the first prize of natural science of Shandong Province (the first prize winner). In 2006, he was rated as a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions in Shandong Province.

Research direction
Engaged in the synthesis, structure and properties of organic photoelectric functional materials. 1. Synthesis and properties of organic light functional molecules. Organic conductors and semiconductors, including organic field effect materials. 3. On the basis of theoretical calculation and X-ray crystal structure, the relationship between structure and photoelectric properties is explored.
