In the 18th year of Jian'an, Ma Chao besieged the city of Hebei for many days, and the city was hungry. Shi Weikang, the governor of Liangzhou, did not want the people to suffer any more and planned to surrender. Zhao angjin advised but did not accept it. After Ma Chao treacherously killed Wei Kang and took his son Zhao Yue as a hostage, and sent him to Nanzheng. In order to force Zhao ang to use it for himself. After that, he conspired with Liang Kuan, Zhao Qu, Pang Gong and Yang Fu to avenge Kang, and raised his troops against Ma Chao. Ma Chao was defeated, so he abandoned the city and went to Zhang Lu. After Zhang Lu's help, Ma Chao returned to the army in the 19th year of Jian'an. Zhao ang and his wife Wang Yi stayed at Qishan mountain for 30 days to help Xia Houyuan. Zhao ang, a native of Tianshui, once served as an official of the Qiang nationality. He was well-known with his fellow townsmen Yang Fu, Jiang Xu and Yin Feng.
When Zhao ang was appointed as the Qiang Daoling, his wife Wang Yi and his children stayed in the west of Tianshui county. Later Liang Shuang reconciled with the county officials, and Wang Yi was spared by this way of life. Later, Zhao ang sent someone to pick up Wang Yi's mother and daughter. When it came to the official house, Wang Yi stopped moving forward and told her daughter that she could not die because she was worried about her young daughter. Zhao ang then made up his mind to drive Ma Chao away with all the people. After Ma Chao took refuge with Zhang Lu and borrowed troops to attack Hebei city, Wang Yi and Zhao ang kept Qishan together. The city of Hebei was surrounded by Ma Chao's army not long ago. As Wang Yi expected, Cao's rescuers arrived in about 30 days to rescue the city of Hebei. The biography of lienvzhuan by huangfumi mentions that Wang Yi is "the wife of Zhao Weizhang, Tianshui, the governor of Yizhou", while weilue records that "Yang Fushao, yinfengcizeng and Zhao angweizhang of the same county are both named", Zhao ang is a surname from Tianshui, and the two words "Zhang" and "Zhang" are homophonic, so one of the two names should be misnamed.
Zhao ang and zhao shu
In 219, Liu Bei and Xia Houyuan fought in Hanzhong. With the help of staff officer Fazheng, Huang Zhong killed Xia Houyuan and zhao gu, the governor of Yizhou appointed by Cao Cao, in Dingjun mountain.
