Zhou Lei
Zhou Lei (1938-august 1, 2019), born in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, is a member of the Democratic League, an editorial board member of the Journal of dream of Red Mansions, and a member of the academic committee of China dream of Red Mansions society.
He graduated from Jilin University in 1962. He has successively served as assistant researcher of Northeast Institute of culture and history, team leader of xiaopingling brigade in Yongji County, Jilin Province, librarian of Yongji County Cultural Museum, researcher of Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, member of China Writers Association, editorial board member of dream of Red Mansions academic journal, member of Academic Committee of China dream of Red Mansions society, etc.
On August 1, 2019, Zhou Lei died of illness in Beijing at the age of 81.
Life of the characters
Zhou Lei began to study a dream of Red Mansions in 1973 and published a series of Redology papers under the pseudonym of "Wen Lei" in cooperation with his friends. From 1975 to 1977, he participated in the proofreading and annotation of the new version of a dream of Red Mansions organized by the Ministry of culture. on August 1, 2019, Zhou Lei died of illness in Beijing at the age of 81. Zhou Lei's farewell ceremony was held at 9 am on August 7 in the farewell Hall of Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University.

He is the executive director of China dream of Red Mansions society, the Deputy Secretary General of China Local Chronicles History Association, the Deputy Secretary General of Beijing History Research Association, the standing editorial board member of the Committee of dream of Red Mansions journal, the director of the writing group of CCTV TV series dream of Red Mansions, the chief director of the shooting group of Beijing TV series, and the chief director of the production Committee of 110 episode TV series dream of Red Mansions Seats. Published in 1974. He joined the Chinese Writers Association in 1980. In June 2000, he founded Beijing Zhougong planning center as chairman, President and chief planner, specializing in large-scale project planning.
