Sun Yongzheng
Sun Yongzheng, born in 1981 in Shanghai, is a grand master of Chinese chess. He now plays for the Shanghai Golden Bund chess team.
Sun Yongzheng began to learn chess at the age of six. At the age of eight, he won the championship of children's group in Shanghai youth competition; since then, he has won the championship of this competition five times; he has participated in the national youth competition since 1991; he has been in the top three for three times; he won the championship of the National Youth Competition twice in 1994 and 1996; he won the 11th place in the national individual competition in 1995, thus winning the title of national master, and he was the youngest national master at that time. In 1999, he won the fifth place in the national individual competition. In 2011, he won the national individual championship and was promoted to super master.
