Liang naipeng

Liang naipeng, GBS, OBE, JP, born in 1940 in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, is a native of Jintai village, Wanjiang District, Dongguan City. At present, he is the executive chairman and executive director of Hong Kong Television Broadcasting Limited (0511-hk) (TVB), the chairman of TVBS, the vice chairman of Zaitong International Holdings Limited (0062-hk), the independent non-executive director of Wing Lung Bank Limited, the chairman of banking system limited, the chairman of Sun Hung Kai logistics Holdings Limited, the chairman of Zhuoyi Supply Chain Management Limited, and the chairman of Xiang Hong Chairman of Hong Kong Commercial Aviation Centre Limited, vice chairman of airport air transport centre limited, chairman of the Council of City University of Hong Kong, director of civil safety services, member of the Electoral Affairs Commission and member of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council.

In April 2016, the Hong Kong government announced the appointment of Liang naipeng as the chairman of the Council of the Chinese University of Hong Kong with effect from May 1 for a period of three years.

Characters and deeds

Dr. Liang naipeng, GBS, OBE, JP, born in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, was officially appointed as the vice-executive chairman and executive director of TVB on September 1, 2003, the chairman of the board of directors of TVB in January 2012, the chairman of the board of directors of Satcom International Holdings Limited in March 2012, and the independent non-executive director of Sun Hung Kai Real Estate in July 2012 Chairman of the Council and a number of government offices. It is reported that Liang naipeng was born in a humble family. He grew up on the outlying island of Cheung Chau when he was a child. He went from a hotel attendant to the chairman of the Broadcasting Authority, relying on his own efforts.

At the end of 2004, Mr Leung was also appointed by the chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the Deputy Supervisor of the City University of Hong Kong for a three-year term with effect from January 1, 2005. In addition, he has served as the president of City University since 1985, and served as the chairman of the Council from 1997 to 2003. He has served for 19 years. Therefore, he was awarded the honorary doctor of law degree by the University.

In terms of public service, Mr Leung has served as a member of the Hong Kong Electoral Affairs Commission, chairman of the Broadcasting Authority, director of the civil security service, member of the University Grants Committee, member of the housing authority and so on.

Liang naipeng was originally born in a wealthy family, but his family declined after his family moved to Hong Kong in 1949. He grew up on Cheung Chau Island, an outlying island. At the age of 12, he had to go out to work to support his family and worked as a waiter in a hotel. As he lost the chance to learn English in a regular school, he had to rely on self-study, part-time study and contact with foreign guests in the hotel. Eight years later, he finally had the chance to go to school all the time and entered the third grade of middle school at the age of 20. Despite his hard start, he still overcame all kinds of difficulties and successfully went to university. He studied economics and Political Science in the University of Hong Kong, the highest institution of learning in Hong Kong. Later, he went to Gifford law school to study law. It took him less than four years to get the qualification of a lawyer.

After his legal career, Mr Leung embarked on his second career as a commercial executive, serving as vice-executive chairman of TVB limited, vice-chairman of Kowloon Bus Holdings Limited and director of Wing Lung Bank Limited. He served as a member of the Television Advisory Committee from 83 to 87, joined the Broadcasting Authority in 91, and served as chairman of the complaints committee in 94. He was appointed chairman of the Broadcasting Authority in September 1997. He began to serve as executive director of KMB (0062-hk) in March 2000 and became Vice Chairman in 2001. He also served as vice chairman of roadshow (0888-hk), chairman of Xindi (0016-hk) new logistics holdings and chairman of Mawan park.

Liang naipeng attended the celebration banquet for the first time. On behalf of the wireless board of directors, he cheered the artists and praised the shooting of "jinzhiyuni".
