Zhou Zhigao, born in January 1945 in Xinghua, Jiangsu Province, is the first and second executive director of China Calligrapher Association, the third, fifth and sixth executive director, and senior judge of China Calligrapher Association. In 1977, he founded Shanghai calligraphy magazine and served as executive editor in chief. He planned and hosted the "five firsts" major activities in Chinese calligraphy, and was honored as one of the "founders of the revival of contemporary Chinese calligraphy". In 2003, he was chief editor of Chinese calligraphy magazine of China Calligraphy Association and deputy director of publishing Committee of China Calligraphy Association. Now he is a special editor of Chinese calligraphy magazine, a researcher of calligraphy and Painting Academy of Central Museum of culture and history, vice chairman of professional committee of calligraphy and painting of Chinese talent Research Association of Ministry of human resources and social security of the people's Republic of China, a librarian of Shanghai Literature and History Research Institute, a part-time professor of Fudan University and Shanghai Normal University, and the president of Shanghai Calligraphy Association Xi, honorary chairman, President of Shanghai Chinese Calligraphy Academy and vice chairman of Shanghai Federation of literary and art circles.

In September 2005, he was invited to Japan to participate in the calligraphy exhibition of world famous artists at the International Expo and conduct academic exchanges. In October 2006, he was invited to Germany to attend the Frankfurt International Book Fair and visited Italy, France and other eight countries. The calligraphy exhibition was held in Florence, Italy. 8. In July 2007, the Chinese Art Museum of Beijing welcomed the calligraphy exhibition of the Olympic Games, and Su Dongpo's Ci "jiangchengzi · hunting in Mizhou" was exhibited and collected. 9. On June 28, 2008, he participated in the Eighth International Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition held in the Taimiao square of the Cultural Palace of the working people in Beijing. More than 20 pieces of calligraphy works (including 2 Zhang Er's huge works) donated by Zhou Zhigao were displayed for many years. The prize was 500000 yuan, and all of them were donated to the town government as calligraphy reward fund. 18. From June 10 to 21, 2012, he led a delegation to visit the United States and held the Shanghai calligraphy exhibition at the UN headquarters in New York. 19. From August 8 to 15, 2013, he led a delegation to visit Germany and Austria to hold the Hamburg exhibition of "Shanghai style calligraphy global tour" in Germany and the Vienna exchange exhibition in Austria. 20. July 2014: led a delegation to visit France to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. Character evaluation

Mr. Qigong said that "his publications were founded at the beginning of the revival of calligraphy. They have made great achievements for a long time.". On the 10th anniversary of calligraphy magazine in 1987, Comrade Jiang Zemin, the mayor of Shanghai, wrote a congratulatory inscription: "four modernizations of love songs in calligraphy".
