In 1998, he won the youth champion of the 11th sports meeting in Zhejiang Province, which aroused his persistent emotion for chess. In spite of the opposition of his family and the opinions of others, he chose the road he liked to go on. He knew that he had to break through in chess, although it was very difficult for him now, because there was no professional team, no coach, just one person. Fortunately, he broke into the top three this time and gave himself and his family an account to prove that he had not gone wrong.
In 2002, Jiang Chuan won the third place in the sports meeting. In that year, he also got into the top eight in the national individual competition. It should be said that he was also a little famous in the field of chess. However, Jiang Chuan at that time, as long as it was a backhand match, he would only follow suit. Zhang Qiang, the head coach of the Beijing team, told reporters, "at that time, Jiang Chuan didn't even know how to use the screen horse. No matter what the opponent went, he was a smooth shooter." However, due to Jiang Chuan's strong combat skills and good results, the opening link became the bottleneck of Jiang Chuan's development.
In 2002, Hu ronghua won the third place in the first round of the sports meeting, which established his confidence to become a professional chess player. Since 2003, he has been playing in professional league for Beijing team. According to reports, Jiang Chuan usually trains more than 8 hours a day. In the years when he just came to the fore, he won the second place in all kinds of competitions and was called "the second of the Millennium".
The "yangguanyu cup chess match" in 2008 was Jiang Chuan's "turning over battle". He and Hong Zhi competed for the final champion. At that time, Hong Zhi had a good situation and almost won the game. Finally, because Hong Zhi made a missed move, he was turned over successfully It was Jiang Chuan's first individual champion. After that, Jiang Chuan couldn't take it back.
At the end of 2008, he won the yangguanyu cup and began to sweep the chess world.
Jiang Shichuan's title in 2011 is undoubtedly the most important one in the championship. At the 12th World Chess Championship held in Indonesia in late November, Jiang Chuan won the men's individual championship with 7-2 and 16 points. At the same time, together with Xu Yinchuan (microblog), who won the individual runner up, he won the team championship for the Chinese team.
