Anecdotes and allusions
The mystery of birth year
Zheng changed his age to a 4-year-old to take part in the Anti Japanese activities. Therefore, in some relevant records, Zheng Lucheng's birthday was written as 1918. But after detailed textual research by relatives and friends in Korea, including the registered residence data and other documents, it was confirmed that his accurate year of birth was 1914.
Pursuit of beauty
In 1937, Zheng Lucheng met Ding Xuesong in Yan'an, and they secretly liked each other. One day, Ding went back to his cave and found that the cave had been cleaned and a bunch of dried flowers had been put on the table. After a few days, I felt very strange. Until one day, I found that the room had been cleaned and two popular novels, Anna Karenina and Camellia girl, were placed beside the flowers. Ding Xuesong was both surprised and happy. He picked up the book and saw a note in it: "give it to the ghost female officer, whose name is Zheng Lucheng.". Ding Xuesong's heart is bright and excited at the moment, so they make love. It took them two years to overcome the tortuous political resistance, and finally they were successfully united.
Father's love is boundless

But she had no milk to feed her daughter, so she had to sell Zheng Lucheng's beloved violin in exchange for a ewe who had just given birth to a lamb. In memory of the lost violin, Ding Xuesong named his daughter Xiaoti.
Because Ding Xuesong wanted to go to the countryside to work, Zheng Lucheng took on the responsibility of "nanny" without hesitation when she considered giving her children to others to raise temporarily. He first got two ewes and milked them to feed his daughter on weekdays. He was even more meticulous when he encountered washing and washing, for fear of wronging his daughter. He looked like a good father full of "maternal love".
Soon after, her daughter Xiaoti suffered from whooping cough and dysentery. She had a high fever. People said that the child could not live. Zheng Lucheng put the antipyretic medicine he brought back from the former side into the needle tube and injected it into his daughter. It was this injection after injection that finally brought her fever back.
