Ivy covered wooden house
make a concise evaluation
First of all, we can clearly find that this article also belongs to the era background of scar literature. Through the description of the life experiences of many common people in the "Cultural Revolution", it profoundly reveals the poison of the "Cultural Revolution" to the common people and the torture and destruction of the intellectuals' body.
Pan Qingqing, the protagonist of the novel, said, "she grew up in the mountains and married a man. Even she came to a place as far away as the forest farm only once." before Li Xingfu came to lvmaokeng, such an ordinary housewife only knew that she was satisfied with her real life. But after Li Xingfu came, she was inspired by foreign knowledge and new things It began to change slowly. Both mentally and emotionally, after a struggle, she decided to resist and ask Li Xingfu to help her buy a radio and a round mirror. In the end, after her husband doubted her and abandoned her, she decided to work with Li Xingfu. She is full of novelty in her new life, but she is afraid of foreign things. On the contrary, she comforts herself with Ah Q spirit, which is exactly the reason for her tragic life. But in the end, she can resist everything she is afraid of, which is a little fortunate.
Wang Mutong, pan Qingqing's husband, an illiterate and rude man, admitted that he was happy during the cultural revolution. This also reflects the great influence of the "Cultural Revolution" on Farmers' ideology, and intellectuals are the objects of suppression. As for Li Xingfu's idea of setting fire, he refused to accept it because of his selfishness. He unreasonably opposed all the right ideas. When he found that his wife and children were changing, he just wanted to suppress it rudely. Subjectively assuming that they are his, they will use force to solve problems, and let the green hair pit, which is not easy to be active, return to the silence. Later, he foolishly wanted to express his will to join the party with a blood letter. This was a barbaric and vulgar practice, but at that time it was considered sincere. In the end, it's ironic to abandon pan Qingqing, make up lies, gain the trust of leaders, and start a new life in a new place.
Li Xingfu, an intellectual youth poisoned by the cultural revolution, used his influence to drive the changes of Pan Qingqing and her two children when he first arrived at lvmaokeng, making lvmaokeng full of vitality. But when Wang Mutong came forward to stop him, he became timid again, and his atmosphere did not dare to say a word. This is the typical image of intellectuals who eat soft and fear hard, which also shows his helplessness. The fact that his opinions were denied further revealed that the Cultural Revolution was not only a physical torture, but also a spiritual devastation for intellectuals.

Famous sayings
Literature is not only the author's thinking and exploration of the social life he experiences, but also a form of "self answer" to the life he knows. Of course, this kind of understanding, thinking and exploration are constantly advancing and developing. ——Gu Hua
