Lu Su (172-217), Zi Jing, Han nationality, was an outstanding strategist and diplomat in the last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty.
Lu Su was born into a gentry family. He lost his father when he was young and was raised by his grandmother. He has a big body and a forthright personality. He likes reading books and riding and shooting. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he saw the imperial court fatuous, officials corrupt, social unrest, often called the young people in the countryside to practice martial arts. He is also generous and easy to make money, which is admired by the villagers. At that time, Zhou Yu was the head of the nest. He asked Lu Su for help because of food shortage. Lu Su generously gave Zhou Yu a granary of 3000 grains. From then on, they became friends and conspired with each other.
In the fifth year of Jian'an (200), Lu Su led his subordinates to go to Sun Quan and put forward a strategic plan for him, which was appreciated by Sun Quan. In 208, the 13th year of Jian'an, Cao Cao led the army southward. Many of Sun Quan's subordinates were in charge of surrender, while Lu Su and Zhou Yu were determined to fight against each other. " And he ordered them to set up their shields on the ground, and to shoot them from a distance, and the arrows pierced them. On the one hand, the pursuers felt that Lu Su's words were reasonable; on the other hand, they estimated that they could not help him with their own strength, so they had to retreat. Lu Su arrived at Juchao smoothly.
