According to Shi Ming's memoirs, during the period from 1946 to 1949, because he could not accept the "land reform" policy of the Communist Party of China at that time, and because he could not organize the captured Taiwan soldiers of the Kuomintang army to use the "Taiwan team" specially for the liberation of Taiwan, he had a serious difference with the superior leaders. He returned to Taiwan in 1949. Shi Ming was not only disappointed with the CPC, but also hated the KMT. He once organized the "Taiwan independent revolutionary armed forces" to plot to assassinate Chiang Kai Shek. After the incident, he was wanted at the end of 1951. In May 1952, he fled to Japan to make a living by opening a small restaurant, and began to write "four hundred years of Taiwanese history". In July 1962, the Japanese edition of "four hundred years of Taiwanese history" was published in Tokyo. Since then, several "Taiwan independence" organizations have been established or joined. In 1980, the traditional Chinese version of four hundred years of Taiwanese history was published by Pengdao culture company. He returned to his hometown Taiwan in 1993 and continued to engage in Taiwan independence and separatist activities.
