Zhang Zhixin
Zhang Zhixin (December 1930 April 4, 1975), female, Han nationality, born in Tianjin, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He was the director of Propaganda Department of Liaoning Provincial CPC Committee. With his loyalty to the party and the people, Zhang Zhixin opposed the perverse actions of Lin Biao and the gang of four during the cultural revolution and suffered cruel persecution. She insisted on the truth and publicly exposed the conspiracy of Lin Biao and Jiang Qing to usurp the party and seize power. She was regarded as "the current counter revolution" by the gang of four and was arrested in September 1969. On April 4, 1975, she was killed by the gang of four. She was only 45 years old. On March 21, 1979, the Liaoning provincial Party committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) completely vindicated her and recognized her as a revolutionary martyr. Character evaluation
On March 9, 1979, members of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning provincial Party committee listened carefully to the report of the relevant investigation group. Comrade Ren Zhongyi, the first Secretary of the provincial Party committee at that time, said: "the Zhang Zhixin case is a big one. Her death was very tragic. Comrade Zhang Zhixin is a very good party member. She adheres to the truth, the party spirit, the struggle and would rather die than surrender. "We should call on Party members and revolutionaries to learn from her." On March 31, 1979, the Liaoning provincial Party committee of the Communist Party of China publicly rehabilitated her and recognized her as a revolutionary martyr. On April 4, the fourth anniversary of the martyrs' death, the Propaganda Department of the provincial Party committee held a grand memorial meeting in the auditorium of Huilonggang Revolutionary Cemetery in Shenyang. The venue was surrounded by wreaths. The martyr's mother inscribed on the tombstone: "the pursuit of truth lies in practice, the destruction of loyalties and the permanence of greatness.".
