Cao family
Cao's family, also known as Mrs. Cao, had an unknown year of birth and death. Emperor Liu Bang, Emperor Gao of the Han Dynasty, was a "foreign wife" for a long time.
Cao married Liu Bangzhi, the eldest son of the Liu family, and lived together with Liu feibang six years ago.
Cao's life story is only briefly recorded in historical records and Hanshu.
Life of the characters
Cao, whose birth and death are unknown, was a "foreign woman" when Liu Bang, the founding emperor of the Western Han Dynasty, was the head of the pavilion. From the location of Liu Bang's early activities, we can infer that Cao's family was Liu Bang's fellow townsman and also a rich man.
Before Liu Bang and LV Zhi got married, Cao lived with Liu Bang and gave birth to Liu Fei, the eldest son of Liu Bang. According to historical records and Hanshu, Cao and LV Zhi were captured as hostages by Xiang Yu after the defeat of Liu Bang in Pengcheng and released after the peace negotiation between Chu and Han dynasties.
Cao's wife is not Liu Bangming's wife. She is just a "foreign woman". The so-called "foreign woman" is either a "foreign wife" (a concubine married elsewhere) or a cohabiting girlfriend. In short, she has no reputation. Therefore, her son, Liu Fei, is the eldest son of Liu Bang, but he can only be a commoner and has no right to inherit the throne.
In the sixth year of emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty (gengzi, 201 BC), Liu Bang granted Liu Fei the title of king of Qi, with 70 cities. All the people who speak Qi language belong to the king of Qi.
In the second year of emperor Huidi of Han Dynasty (Wushen, 193 BC), Liu Fei, king of Qi, went to Beijing to see his younger brother emperor Huidi of Han Dynasty. Huidi and the king of Qi had banquets. They were equal and had the same etiquette as ordinary family members and brothers. Empress Dowager Lu was angry and wanted to kill the king of Qi. The king of Qi was afraid that he could not avoid disaster. Fortunately, his Nei Shi Xun gave him a plan to sacrifice Chengyang county (today's Ju county in Shandong Province) as the fief of Princess Lu Yuan, the daughter of Empress Dowager Lu. This made empress dowager Lu turn anger into joy, and the king of Qi was able to leave the court and return home.
In the sixth year of emperor Huidi of Han Dynasty (Renzi, 189 BC), Liu Fei died, and his posthumous title was mourning King Huidi. His son Liu Xiang succeeded him as king of mourning.
In the seventh year of emperor Huidi of Han Dynasty (Guichou, 188 BC), Emperor Xiaohui Liu Ying died. Empress dowager Lu exercised the imperial power, and everything in the world was decided by Empress Dowager Lu. In the second year, Empress Dowager LV Tai, the son of her brother, was granted the title of King LV, and Ji'nan County of Qi was set up as the fief of King Lv. Later, Empress Dowager Lu divided Langya County of Qi and made Liu Ze, Marquis of Yingling, king of Langxie.
In the first year of the Yuan Dynasty (renxu, 179 BC), Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty Liu Heng returned all the Chengyang, langye and Jinan counties separated from the state of Qi by Empress Dowager Lu to the state of Qi. King langye was renamed King Yan, Marquis zhuxu and Marquis Dongmou, and each of them was granted 2000 titles.

。”
Remarks: in the two historical books, Cao's family is called "foreign wife", and "foreign wife" refers to the concubine or adulterous wife that a man married in other places besides his wife. The so-called "micro time" refers to the time when we are not prosperous. It can be seen that Liu Fei is not the natural son of Liu Bang and LV Zhi, but his mother's surname is Cao. There is only such a short record in historical records and Hanshu, but the detailed identity of the woman surnamed Cao is unknown.
