research findings
A study of Yanghu School of literature
In Qing Dynasty, Yanghu school and Tongcheng school were also called, but there were many special books and special articles for Tongcheng school, but few scholars on the study of Yanghu school. In view of this, this book tries to fill in the vacancy from Changzhou academy, the origin of literary school, the two schools of prose and prose, the thought of literary theory, the key comments of various experts and the historical status, and makes some methodological thinking on how to study the schools of Chinese literature. This book is prefaced by Mr. Cheng Qianfan. It was included in the research series on Chinese traditional culture of the National Ancient Book Planning Group, published by Zhonghua Book Company (1996).
Interpretation and translation of Luoyang Jialan Ji
This book is composed of explanation, annotation and translation, origin, explanation and bibliography. Among the Chinese Buddhist literature and history books, Yang xuanzhi's Luoyang Jialan Ji is a well-known work. Its rich connotation is just like Mao Jin's comment in the Ming Dynasty: "the spread of Buddhism is due to humanity. He wrote about gardens, songs and dances, ghosts and gods, strangeness, and the differences between rise and fall to express his praises and criticisms (Lu Jun Ting's postscript) this book clearly distinguishes Yang xuanzhi's intention and Buddhist consciousness of "Ji Jia Lan", corrects some specious views in history, and makes accurate understanding and pertinent evaluation of the author's historical talent, literary color characteristics and literary and historical status of "cause and humanity". The annotation takes into account the academic accumulation at home and abroad, and the style of translation pursues the neatness and elegance corresponding to the original. Published by Taiwan Foguang culture company (1998 edition).
Huiyuan pingzhuan
Huiyuan is one of the most famous eminent monks in the early history of Chinese Buddhism. His "virtue and brilliance in Taoism, talent and beauty in style" (Hui Jiao's biography of eminent monks) is not only a model of erudition in medieval academic culture, but also represents some important steps in the process of Sinicization of Buddhism. This book presents Huiyuan's life course, humanistic bearing and ideological vein with the idea of unifying history and logic, so as to determine Huiyuan's historical position in the history of Chinese culture and Chinese Buddhism. When tracing his early life, he analyzed the time opportunity of the formation of his characteristics of learning and cultivation and the direction of seeking Tao, and investigated the ideological significance of fan Xuan's love and his experience of learning from dao'an. After entering Lushan Mountain, Huiyuan founded Donglin temple, advocated chanting Buddhism, resisted common customs and protected Dharma, invited foreign monks to translate scriptures, and had a Buddhist dialogue with master kumarashi in the north, which became the events related to the development prospect of Buddhism in his later career. In the investigation of these events, we should pay attention to expound the significance of his thought to the new subject of contemporary and later Buddhism. In order to fully understand the cultural character of Huiyuan and his Lushan mission, this paper also makes a proper examination of Huiyuan's literary chanting activities and his literary view. In the evaluation of Huiyuan's influence, it also examines his high reputation in the Han culture circle countries such as Korea and Japan. This book tries its best to integrate the relevant research results at home and abroad. It is a work with its own longitude and latitude and unique new ideas. Published by Nanjing University Press (2002).
