Wang Jian
Wang Jian, born in October 1962 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, is an expert in cloud computing technology, academician of Chinese Academy of engineering, founder of Alibaba cloud, and chairman of the technical committee of Alibaba group.
Wang Jian graduated from the Department of psychology of Hangzhou University in 1984 with a bachelor's degree; he received a doctor's degree from Hangzhou University in 1990 and then stayed in the university to teach. He was promoted to a professor in 1992 and served as a doctoral supervisor since 1993; he served as the head of the Department of psychology of Hangzhou University from 1993 to 1998; he joined Microsoft China Research Institute in 1999; he served as the executive vice president of Microsoft Asia Research Institute in 2004; and he joined in September 2008 He served as chief architect of Alibaba group, CTO of Alibaba software in July 2009, President of Alibaba cloud computing Co., Ltd. in September 2009, CTO of Alibaba Group in August 2012 and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in November 2019.
Wang Jian is mainly engaged in the field of cloud computing, and presided over the research and development of Feitian, the only self-developed cloud operating system in China.

In October 1962, Wang Jian was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
In 1980, he was admitted to the Department of psychology of Hangzhou University. In addition to his major in industrial psychology, he also attended computer courses at the University. In 1984, he received his bachelor's degree. As a graduate student, he studied with Professor Zhu Zuxiang, a psychologist and ergonomician.
At the beginning of 1990, Wang Jian was assigned to the Department of psychology of Ohio State University for a six-month study and research. Since 1993, he has been a doctoral supervisor.
From 1993 to 1999, he was the director of the Department of psychology of Hangzhou University (after 1998, he was the director of the Department of psychology and behavioral science of Zhejiang University) and the director of the national professional laboratory of industrial psychology.
In 1996, he was a visiting professor in the Department of psychology at the State University of New York.
In 1998, he was selected into the "151" talent project of Zhejiang Province.
In 1999, he joined Microsoft China Research Institute and served as the research director of the multi-channel user interface group.
In 2004, he served as executive vice president of Microsoft Research Asia.
In September 2008, he joined Alibaba group as chief architect, helping Alibaba group to establish a technical team, and responsible for the construction of the group's technical architecture and basic technology platform.
In July 2009, he was appointed chief technology officer of Alibaba software.
In September 2009, he founded Alibaba cloud computing Co., Ltd. as president.
In August 2012, he was appointed chief technology officer of Alibaba group, fully responsible for the planning, formulation and implementation of the group's technology development strategy, and continued to serve as the president of Alibaba cloud.
In January 2021, Wang Jian ranked 15th in the 2021 Hurun China Professional Manager list with a fortune of 8.5 billion yuan.

While studying and working in the Department of psychology of Hangzhou University, Wang Jian's main research fields include virtual reality and intelligent human-computer interaction, aviation psychology and cognitive ergonomics.
While working in Microsoft Research Asia, Wang Jian's main achievements include: sqm large-scale data processing system, digital ink, modeless switching user interface supporting Asian languages, etc.
As the founder of Alibaba cloud, Wang Jian pioneered the "data centric" distributed cloud computing architecture, took the lead in proposing the industrial model of using computing as public service, and presided over the research and development of Alibaba cloud computing platform with independent intellectual property rights and large-scale distributed computing system "Feitian".
Through the establishment of "yunqi conference" and "yunqi town", we have constructed a complete cloud computing ecology, and achieved a breakthrough from "flying" technology platform to cloud computing industry.
