Life of the characters
When Sun Jian started the uprising, Sun Jing gathered five or six hundred people from the village and clan as the basic team, and everyone attached to him. In the first year of Jian'an (196 AD), sun CE, the eldest son of Sun Jian, defeated Liu Yao and pacified the counties. Then he attacked Kuaiji and sent for his uncle Sun Jing. Sun Jing and his family met with sun CE in Qiantang. At that time, Wang Lang, the prefect of Kuaiji, resisted sun CE in Guling, and sun CE could not win several water crossing battles. Sun Jing then said to sun CE, "Wang Lang defends the city with danger, and it's hard to break it right away. From here to the south is chadu, which is a vital place leading to Kuaiji road. You should enter Wang Lang's rear area from there. This is exactly what the art of war says: "attack unprepared, surprise." I have to lead the army in person. As a pioneer, I will certainly defeat Wang Lang Sun CE took his advice and falsely ordered the whole army to say, "in recent days, the rain has been muddy. Most soldiers have abdominal pain after drinking this water. He ordered them to prepare hundreds of clear drinking water in earthen jars as soon as possible." At dusk (the night when Zizhitongjian was written), many torches were lit to confuse Wang Lang as suspects. Then, a troop was sent to attack gaoqiantun from chadu road. Wang Lang was shocked and sent the army led by Zhou Xin, the former governor of Dan Yang, to meet him. Sun CE defeated Zhou Xin and others and killed Zhou Xin. Wang Lang fled, Yu Fan followed, covered Wang Lang, crossed the sea by boat and fled to Dongye. Sun CE pursued them and defeated Wang Lang's army. Wang Lang had to surrender to sun CE, so sun CE pacified Kuaiji. After sun CE pacified Kuaiji, the above table appointed his uncle Sun Jing as Fenwu Xiaowei, intending to give him heavy responsibilities. However, Sun Jing remembered his ancestors' resting place and was not willing to go out to be an official, so he asked to stay in his hometown. Sun CE agreed to his request. In the fourth year of Jian'an (A.D. 200), Sun Jing's eldest son, sun Zhe, wanted to take over the power of Jiangdong after sun CE's death, but he was dissuaded by Yu fan. After Sun Quan took over the power of Jiangdong, Sun Jing was promoted to Zhaoyi Zhonglang general, and Sun Jing died in his hometown.
