Chen Guang
Chen Guang (November 1914 - December 20, 1986), joined the Red Army of workers and peasants in 1930 and the Communist Party of China in 1931.
He was the first acting secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee.

In November 1914, Chen Guang was born into a poor peasant family in ZHUSHANXIA village, Rentian District, Ruijin County, Jiangxi Province. In 1926, he joined the peasant association and the peasant red guards. In 1930, he joined the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army. In 1931, he joined the Communist Party of China and participated in the first, second and fifth anti "encirclement and suppression" struggles. During the Long March, Chen Guang served as section chief of the Political Department of the fifth Red Army Corps, deputy secretary of Danba county Party committee of Xikang Province, and inspector of the presidium of Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia provincial government in December 1936. After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, Chen Guangxian served as the section chief of the central Marxism Leninism college in Yan'an, and soon went to the front line of the Anti Japanese war. He served as a member of the South Anhui Special Committee and Secretary of the Jingxian county Party committee, and assisted the military headquarters of the New Fourth Army in establishing industrial production cooperatives. In 1940, Chen Guang served as secretary of danbei central county Party committee of Jiangsu Anhui district Party committee, member of the Party committee of Northern Jiangsu District and Secretary of Beijing Shanghai Road North Special Committee, and devoted himself to the construction of the base area. In March 1941, the local armed forces of danbei were formed into the 51st regiment of the 18th brigade of the sixth division of the New Fourth Army, and became the main force. Chen Guang served as the political member of the regiment. When Chen Guangchu arrived in northern Dan, the Anti Japanese democratic regime had not yet been established in this area. In April 1941, under the leadership of Chen Guang, the fourth Jiangnan special administrative office was established, and the county system was rebuilt when the base area was divided by the enemy. Later, Chen Guang began to reform the political power of the districts and townships, and established the Anti Japanese national united front political power under the leadership of the Communist Party. In November 1941, the Japanese and puppet forces mobilized more than 3000 people to carry out a sweeping campaign in northern Dan. At that time, the main force of the New Fourth Army was transferred to the south of the railway, and the special committee for the north of the railway had only the Third Battalion of the main fourth regiment and a small number of local armed forces. Chen Yanguang led the Anti Japanese forces to smash the "three bases" of Northern Jiangsu, Northern Jiangsu, and Northern Qingdan. In 1943, Chen Guang was transferred to be the organization director of the Party committee of Huainan District, the Secretary of the East Jinpu road local committee of Huainan District, the political member of the fourth brigade of the second division of the New Fourth Army, and the political member of the East Jinpu road military division of Huainan District. He led Party organizations at all levels to do a good job in the training of Party members and cadres, established and improved the democratic life within the party, and made the rectification movement carry out in depth. He also called on other leaders of the prefectural Party committee to carry out the production movement and mutual aid work in Ludong, and accumulated successful experience, which provided a certain reference for other areas of central China at that time and the mutual aid and cooperation movement after liberation. In 1945, Chen Guang returned to southern Jiangsu as political commissar and Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of the first division of the New Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region, providing logistical support for the New Fourth Army going south; deploying local armed operations with the head of the military division; deploying cadres to take over the newly liberated areas and towns, making important contributions to the growth of the Anti Japanese base areas in southern Jiangsu. during the war of liberation, Chen Guang successively served as secretary of the second prefectural committee of central China branch of the CPC Central Committee and director of Yangzhou military control commission. After the founding of new China, he served as secretary of the Secretariat of Jiangsu provincial Party committee, acting first Secretary of Jiangsu provincial Party committee and executive secretary of Jiangsu provincial Party committee.

On December 20, 1986, Chen Guang died in Nanjing.
