Wang Jue's original name was Wang Chunyang, which was changed to today's when she was in University. He was admitted to the Department of economics of Northeastern University in 1935 and then transferred to the Department of history. After the Lugouqiao Incident broke out in 1937, he dropped out of school to join the national salvation movement and performed plays in North China to publicize the Anti Japanese war. He joined the "China Film Studio" in 1938, and performed his first film "protecting hometown" in Chongqing in 1939. In addition to movies, he also performed drama in Chongqing. After associating with Luo Yang, who performed on the same stage, they got married and had one daughter and two sons (one was Wang Dao, a famous actor). After the war, he moved to Shanghai to work with the factory. In 1947, he went to Taiwan to shoot Hualien Harbor. The next year, he came to Taiwan again to explore the scenery of the expedition army's "the adventures of the Burmese bandits". However, due to the tense situation in Shanghai, he failed to make it. In 1949, he led most of the personnel and equipment of Chinese film studios to Taiwan. At the beginning of his stay in Taiwan, he performed drama in Zhongshan Hall and ran Sichuan restaurant "Shu garden" with his wife. Since 1950, he has been the head of the technical team of Taiwan studios, and starred in such films as "wake up from a nightmare", "never separate" and "grass in the army". Besides film work, he also actively promoted drama. In 1959, Wang Jue went to Italy to shoot "the Great Wall" (later renamed "the last train in Shanghai" and "the revelation of the Yellow River"), and chose to stay in the booming local film industry to participate in nearly 50 films such as "Beijing 55" and "Mongols". In the 1960s and 1970s, Wang Jue was almost the only Oriental actor active in European and American film circles. She was influential in Italian film industry, and even led to the cooperation between Yifang and Shao to shoot "Caixing Gaozhao". In 1976, Wang and his son Wang Dao set up their own "Wang's film company" in Hong Kong, and produced Wu Ma's directing and Wang Dao's starring "the living king of hell" and "blood jade". In 1978, he returned to Taiwan to settle down and performed "the land of the emperor", "the double tenth of 1911", "the battle of Gu ningtou" and other films. He won the 18th Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor for "the land of the emperor". In 1984, 1996 and 1998, he was the judge of the Golden Horse Award for three times. After 2000, he still performed Taiwan TV dramas and films, playing with his 70 year old younger generation. In 2009, he was awarded the "special contribution award" of the 46th Golden Horse Award. In 2015, Wang Jue died at the age of 96.
