(1930.1.28 -) formerly known as Zhang Jianwu, born in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. He studied painting by himself and was once an art teacher of Yuxian normal school.
In 1948, he studied in North China University in the North China liberated area and joined the Chinese people's Liberation Army in the same year.
