(1930.1.28 -) formerly known as Zhang Jianwu, born in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. He studied painting by himself and was once an art teacher of Yuxian normal school.

In 1948, he studied in North China University in the North China liberated area and joined the Chinese people's Liberation Army in the same year. He has been engaged in military art work for a long time. He once served as division propagandist, art team leader, art teacher of higher military academy, art officer of public security forces of the Military Commission and Political Department of the Second Artillery Corps, and deputy leader of literary and artistic creation group of Political Department of Urumqi military region.
