Take an active part in the revolution
From 1918 to 1919, Cai Hesen and Mao Zedong launched a work study movement in Hunan. In 1919, Cai Hesen, together with his mother and sister, went to France to work and study. In the winter of 1921, Cai Hesen was expelled by the French government for propagating communism and returned to Shanghai. When Cai Linshen knew this, he sent his wife and daughter back to his hometown, raised his own travel expenses, and went to Shanghai to find Cai Hesen. He is proud that his brother and his wife can work in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. At the beginning, he lived in Cai Hesen's home. Later, he worked in a factory in Shanghai, engaged in the workers' movement, and served as the leader of Hongkou workers' group. He joined the Communist Party of China in Shanghai in 1923. When Cai Hesen, Xiang Jingyu, Mao Zedong, Yang Kaihui and Luo Zhanglong lived together in an office in sanzengli, Zhongxing Road, Zhabei District, Shanghai, Cai Linshen often went there, because he often had contact with Cai Hesen and Xiang Jingyu, which benefited him a lot and broadened his mind greatly. He also met Luo Zhanglong and later worked in the propaganda department and the Secretariat under the leadership of Luo.
In the strike between the province and Hong Kong
When he worked in Shanghai in 1924, Cai Lin was a steamer. Because of his strong accent in the countryside, it was difficult for others to understand him, so he had difficulty in propaganda. Later, introduced by Luo Zhanglong, he went to Guangzhou and was admitted to Huangpu Military Academy. After entering the Huangpu Military Academy, Cai Linshen studied hard and practiced hard, and he was good at shooting. In 1925, in order to support the May 30th Movement in Shanghai, the working class in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, held the world-famous provincial and Hong Kong strike and established the provincial and Hong Kong strike committee of the all China Federation of trade unions. A picket Committee for striking workers was set up, and a group of cadres with patriotism, military experience and leadership ability were mobilized to serve as the backbone of the picket team. Cai Linshen was assigned to the picket team as the leader of the tenth detachment. In order to counteract the blockade of Guangzhou by Hong Kong and Britain, the strike committee announced on July 10 that it would impose an armed blockade on Hong Kong and sent workers' pickets to Haikou to carry out the blockade. Cai Linshen was ordered to lead a team to garrison shayuyong in Bao'an County, intercept the grain smuggled out, investigate and seize the smuggled goods, and fight face to face with the British imperialism. The pickets also actively supported and cooperated with the local peasant movement, helped them organize peasant associations and crack down on the reactionary feudal forces, and made great achievements. The pickets resolutely carried out their tasks and fought bravely, which aroused the hatred of the British imperialists and reactionaries in Hong Kong. They colluded with each other to sabotage the strike. At that time, Chen Jiongming's remnant, together with hundreds of local bandits, often went back and forth between Hong Kong and shayuyong to carry out smuggling activities. When the pickets came to garrison, they threatened to disarm them. There are only more than 100 pickets and more than 30 guns stationed in Sha Yu Chung. It is difficult to deal with these gangsters. Cai Linshen is fearless and calm in the face of these murderous enemies. He said to the team members, "we must stick to our position and never let the enemy open a gap from here." On the one hand, he stuck to his post and led his team to patrol day and night to strictly implement the blockade task; on the other hand, he sent people back to Guangzhou to ask for more troops. The strike committee immediately sent Zhou Shidi and Liao Qianwu to lead four teams of the armored motorcade from Shenzhen to shayuyong for reinforcement, which strengthened the strength of the picket team.
Heroic sacrifice
At about 4 a.m. on November 4, 1925, the Hong Kong British imperialists gathered and organized more than 1000 people to launch a fierce attack on pickets and armored vehicles. At this time, Cai Lin was sick and sleeping in bed. As soon as he heard the gunshot, he immediately picked up the gun and commanded the battle with Zhou Shidi, the leader of the armored motorcade, and Liao Qianwu, the party representative. The two sides fought fiercely until 6:30, when two British warships on the sea honked twice and the enemy pounced on them. The soldiers of the picket team and the armored motorcade fought to death, but the enemy failed. The team members took the opportunity to charge again, beat back the enemy's attacks on the left and right sides, and killed the enemy's company commander and platoon leader. At 7:30, the enemy forces on each side increased by more than 100, and the soldiers on the enemy warships landed at the same time. The British and Hong Kong authorities sent more warships and planes to assist in the battle. All of a sudden, bombs such as showers, the enemy from all directions to the picket positions. They fought with each other for many times, but eventually the picket team was forced to rush out from behind to Pingshan because of the great disparity between the two groups. Zhou Shidi and Liao Qian led one of them to break through the encirclement, while Cai Lin led the other to charge against the mountains held by the enemy. Cai Linshen took the lead and braved the enemy's dense bullets. Unfortunately, he was seriously injured. He was rescued by the workers in the nearby customs kitchen and carried to the kitchen where he covered it with straw. But because of too much blood along the way, they were found by the enemy's pursuers. They searched along the bloodstains and were finally found by the enemy. The ferocious enemy fired a few more shots at him. Cai Linshen made a heroic sacrifice,
He was 36 years old.
