Born in Suixi County in January 1937, he is now a member of the Chinese printmaker Association. He once served as the director of Anhui art association, and is now the art consultant of Huaibei Art Association. He is the honorary president of Wanbei calligraphy and Painting Research Institute and a national first-class artist. He graduated from the Department of fine arts of Anhui Normal University and learned from Professor Zheng Zhen and Professor Wang Shiqin. Since the mid-1960s, there have been a large number of New Year pictures, prints, Chinese landscape paintings, flowers and birds, figures and other paintings.

His main works include "on the battlefield", "boiling mine", "great criticism", "gardener's song", "joy of harvest" and other prints. The print "on the battlefield" participated in the national art exhibition celebrating the 15th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China. In the 1980s, he focused on traditional Chinese landscape painting. Later, the focus turned to traditional Chinese painting flowers and birds, flowers and so on, forming a unique style of painting. His flower and bird paintings include ancient cypress trees in Dacheng Hall of Confucius Temple, rain beating banana, ancient cypress and locust trees in holy land, precious peace, vicissitudes of time, ancient trees, autumn sound and autumn fruit, sunflower, autumn lotus, etc. Wang Yungong, a native of Jiangning (now Nanjing), was named Qiuyan.
