Tomb of King chuyou

One day in 1923, a farmer in Shuangmiao village, Yanggong Town, Xiejiaji District, Huainan City, Anhui Province, accidentally found a bronze utensil during farming, which revealed the mystery of the tomb of king you of Chu.

According to archaeologists, Li sangudui's Tomb of king you of Chu is the only confirmed Tomb of king you of Chu discovered so far. The cultural relics unearthed from it also became the standard tools for dating the late Chu artifacts. The pit of the tomb is nearly square, with a side length of about 41 meters. There are nine retracting steps down the chamber, about 15 meters deep. In the 1930s, the tomb of King chuyou in Shouxian County, Anhui Province, was excavated by warlords.

In 2007, after formal drilling by the Provincial Institute of cultural relics and archaeology, two funerary pits, one large and one small, were found 50 meters and 100 meters west of the tomb respectively.
