Early experience

In the mid-1980s, Lu Xingyu, a junior high school student of Beijing Dance Academy, joined his sister in Jinan to watch the fun. Her sister failed to apply for the examination due to the quota of women. However, Lu Xingyu was inadvertently favored by Ming Wenjun, a teacher of Folk Dance Department of Beijing Dance Academy, and began his dance career. After that, Lu Xingyu was admitted to the Department of classical dance drama of Beijing Dance Academy. After graduation, he worked as the chief dancer in China Opera and dance theater until he left the field of dance. Acting experience

In 1995, he played the role of dianxiaoer in the TV series Bao Qingtian. In 1996, he took part in Lu Songxian's version of Xiaoao Jianghu, playing the supporting role of the apprentice of Taishan sect Tianmen Taoist priest.
