Acting experience

In 1984, Chen Tingwei graduated from TVB art class of Hong Kong Wireless, and his contemporaries included Guo Fucheng, Shao Meiqi, Deng Cuiwen and so on. In the same year, he played Yu Youlu in the TV series mansion, his first TV play. From 1985 to 1990, he was a supporting actor in the sequel of senior brother Xinzha and the silver journey.

In 1990, he acted as No.3 in the TV series "I am kind" starring Wen zhaolun, playing the villain Shi Jiarong.

In 1991, Chen Tingwei and Shen Dianxia changed jobs to ATV; in the same year, he played the first leading role in the TV series "winner is the king" with the theme of the battle of gratitude and resentment in the gambling world, playing the role of "Shi Zhikang" and winning the 1991 ATV ratings champion; in 1992, he cooperated with Zeng Huaqian to play the sequel "winner is the King II invincible".

In 2001, he played the role of Zheng Chenggong in the TV series Zheng Chenggong.

In 2002, Chen Tingwei took part in the mainland China suspense drama "detective thunder" and the first leading actor thunder; in the same year, he took part in the ATV TV drama "bus stop 8".

In October 2008, mainland Chinese producer Zhang Jizhong invited Chen Tingwei to play the role of "Yang Xiao" in the TV series "Yitian Tulong Ji". Because Chen Tingwei's head is sensitive to wig headgear, he finally gave up the performance.

In 2009, Chen Tingwei was invited by Mr. Liang Liren, director of ATV production, to shoot the mainland Chinese TV series "sweetheart", and in 2011, he appeared in the mainland Chinese ancient costume myth drama "Lei Gong".

At the end of 2016, he starred in the movie "Chaoshan storm of Chaoshan misty rain", playing Lin taozai, the grand and just member of Chaoshan family.
