family background
In addition to appreciating, wanlaiming and her brothers explored the secret of making "cartoon". After countless failures, their cartoon finally came into action! According to the news, the film department of the commercial press invited them to draw an advertisement for "shuzhendong Chinese typewriter", the first cartoon advertisement in China. Wan's four brothers were born in a merchant family in Nanjing. Their parents gave birth to a total of ten boys, three of whom died shortly after birth, and three died of illness. Only four of them survived, namely, the eldest Wan Laiming and the eldest 20000 guchan (twins), the eldest 50000 Chaochen and the eldest 60000 Dihuan. Wan's four brothers have been fond of painting since childhood. In 1919, at the age of 19, Wan Laiming submitted his paintings to Shanghai Commercial Press, and finally he was admitted to work in the Art Department of the museum. Soon after, Wan guchan was admitted to the Western Painting Department of Shanghai Art College, and Wan Chaochen was admitted to the decoration Department of Shanghai Oriental Art college. In 1926, Wan brothers entered the great wall picture company and produced the first animated film "the studio of havoc". Since 1931, they have produced Anti Japanese films such as "compatriots wake up quickly", "sincere unity" and allegory film "tortoise and rabbit race walking" in Lianhua film company. In 1932, Wan brothers turned to the cartoon department of star film company and produced the 80 minute cartoon collection. The film is composed of six short films, including Zhang Shichuan's little daughter, Zhang Minyu, and cartoon characters, such as little black monkey, black cat, little black dog and little white rabbit, which will form an educational cartoon. In 1935, the WAN brothers produced China's first sound animation "camel dance"; in 1940, they produced a large sound animation "Princess Iron Fan" for Xinhua film company. After liberation, Wan brothers successively devoted themselves to the creation of art films in New China. Wanlaiming's large-scale color animation "havoc in heaven" has won awards at the karlovi Farley International Film Festival and London International Film Festival; wanguwei's "ginseng Doll" has won awards at the Leipzig International Film Festival and Alexandria International Film Festival; and Wan Chaochen's "Dragon carving" has won awards at the Bucharest International Film Festival (excerpted from "film world") After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, Wan brothers joined the Chinese film studio and participated in the production of seven Anti Japanese songs and five Anti Japanese slogans. In 1940, at the invitation of Shanghai Xinhua film company, he and Wan Laiming set up the "Xinhua cartoon department" and drew and directed the animated feature film "Princess Iron Fan", which is 90 minutes long. It is the first large-scale audio cartoon in the East. The plot of the film is tortuous and vivid, and there are new breakthroughs in photography skills and technical treatment, which is a sign of the maturity of Wan brothers' artistic style. Because of years of war and turbulence, his animation creation was interrupted. In 1956, with the enthusiasm of "contributing to the children of new China", he gave up his high salary and resolutely returned to Shanghai from Hong Kong. Then he began to work on paper cutting. He led young people such as Hu Jinqing, Liu Fengzhan and Chen Zhenghong to make the first Chinese paper-cut "Zhu Bajie eating watermelon" in 1957 after more than one year's experiment, which was praised by the audience and experts and attracted the attention of international peers. Since then, he has successively directed and completed "fishing boy" (won the second prize of the second national children's literature and art creation, and was rated as "one of China's 100 outstanding revolutionary historical films" by the radio, film and Television Department and other units), "fighting crickets", "golden monkey subdues the demon", "Renshen Doll" (won the "best children's Film Award" of the first Alexander International Film Festival), etc. In 1963, he and Qian Yunda co directed the paper-cut "golden conch". The characters are perfect, full of personality characteristics, clear background design lines, harmonious colors, and strong national style, which marks that his paper-cut creation has reached a new level and won the "Lumumba Award" at the third Asian African International Film Festival.
social influence
