Chen Fangqian

Chen Fangqian, formerly known as Chen Fangjian, was born in Beijing in 1920. His native place is Jing'an, Jiangxi Province. He is a Chinese film director. In 1942, he worked as a radio editor. After 1943, he worked in a number of drama clubs and also participated in performances. In 1947, he was an actor of the third power plant of China. After 1949, he was an actor and director of Beijing Film Studio. He directed feature films such as "icing on the cake", "little bell" and "Cai Wenji".

Chen Fangqian was a director of Beijing film. Born in Jingan, Jiangxi Province, from an old bureaucratic family, influenced by the new cultural trend, he was once admitted to Japan as a public funded student. After returning to China, he was admitted to "the third power plant of China" in Beiping and entered the film industry. He once co wrote the progressive opera "pioneers" with composer Lei Zhenbang. Because he is rich in talent, diligent and studious, he is good at playing, playing and singing, and has a good command of piano, chess, calligraphy and painting.

After liberation

After liberation, Chen Fangqian, Xie Tian and other colleagues participated in the first Chinese film director training class held by the Ministry of culture, which not only laid the foundation of art theory, but also established sincere friendship with Soviet film artists. Over the past 30 years, he has been quick witted and tireless, showing his talents in many aspects. He has personally written and cooperated with others in nearly 20 movie scripts. Among them, for 61 class brothers, Honghu red guards, icing on the cake, flowers and so on, which he participated in and wrote, are welcomed by the masses and children. His feature film "little bell" and his composition for the children's drama "bear's treat" won the first prize of national children's literature and art creation in 1980. As the directors of the opera, such as Nezha, Li Yuan, etc., were widely praised for their familiarity with the opera. In the sub shot script, he revealed the composition properly and required specific requirements; in the scene scheduling of drama films, he mastered the instrumental music of the band and the rhythm of the actors' performance properly. Chen Fangqian is optimistic by nature and treats people with enthusiasm. Colleagues, relatives and friends always feel very happy with him. The chairman's quotation chapter produced by him during the "Cultural Revolution" was marvellous for its exquisite craftsmanship and miniature calligraphy, which was once well-known in the film industry. Hou Baolin and Xie Tian are close friends.
