GUI Zhihong
GUI Zhihong was born in Guangzhou on December 20, 1937, and later studied in Hong Kong. After graduating from high school, he went to Taiwan to study stage director.
Acting experience
After graduation, he worked as a film animation producer, assistant director and director in Taiwan. He directed strange gentlemen, God loves a good man and other films, and produced black-and-white animation Wu Song fighting a tiger. Later, he returned to Hong Kong to join Shao's film company. He successively worked with he Menghua and Zhang Che as deputy directors. In 1965, he was sent to Japan pine bamboo chip factory for training. After returning to Hong Kong, he served as the deputy of Japanese directors such as Inoue MEICI.
He was promoted to Director in 1970. His first film was "overseas love song", which he cooperated with Shi Mashan, and then directed "that is not sentimental" by himself. In the early stage, commercial films were mainly made, and in the 1970s, realistic action films were made. In 1973, he co directed angry youth with director Zhang Che. After that, he gradually developed his film career and made more than 40 films in his 20 years. He is familiar with snake killer, Chengji teahouse, big brother Cheng, evil, Hong Kong strange case series and so on. He left the film circle and moved to the United States after Shaw finished his last work, walking gun, and opened a pancake shop there. He died of liver cancer in 1999.
