Praised by the director and the audience, she officially became a "Star" as a basic actor. At that time, "sister flower" made a sensation in Shanghai. Gu Meijun and Gu Lanjun's real sister flower also caused a sensation in the film world.
Gu's sisters began to learn arts when they were young. Later, they joined Mingyue and Lianhua song and dance troupe and participated in drama, song and dance and other performances. Little aunt star
In 1935, Xu Xinfu, director of star company, was preparing to make the anti drug detective film "Emerald horse". Originally, his wife Gu Meijun was supposed to play the role of the leading lady. Unfortunately, Gu Meijun was in labor and had to be replaced by his wife and sister Gu Lanjun. Unexpectedly, Gu Lanjun performed well and was nicknamed "little aunt star" by the audience. Later, she was the heroine of two other detective films directed by Xu Xinfu, namely "diamond" and "living dragon". As a result, "little aunt star" is famous in the film world.
Competition between the two countries
In 1937, Gu Lanjun changed from "Star" to "Xinhua", hoping to make meaningful films. Sure enough, bu wancang chose her as the heroine Diao Chan when shooting the costume film Diao Chan. The first film starred in the large-scale ancient costume drama Diao Chan, she focused on highlighting Diao Chan's rich inner world as a maid and concubine, but she knew the truth and worried about the world. Bu Dao inspired Gu Lanjun not only to emphasize the beauty of Diao Chan's "beauty", but also to enrich the inner beauty of the characters, depicting Diao Chan's lofty quality of being concerned about the country and the people and dying for the country. Gu Lanjun, under the guidance of Bu Dao, made great efforts to portray Diao Chan as a concubine and a lover of Lu Bu, who eventually died because of the country's anti traitors. He accurately grasped the extraordinary spirit of the characters and successfully created the image of a noble woman. Shanghai fans gave her a nickname - "goldfish beauty".
"Diao Chan" premiered in Shanghai Daguang cinema. "Da Guang Ming" was run by American film dealers, which specially showed American films. This time, "Diao Chan" set a precedent for showing domestic films. Because of the high quality of the film, strong cast, especially Gu Lanjun's moving acting skills, caused a sensation. The film has been shown in Singapore, Indonesia, Siam (today's Thailand), Annan (today's Vietnam) and other places in Nanyang. The overseas Chinese all praise that China has produced a female star who can act. The film circle and critics praise her as a "rising star" in the film industry in the 1930s.
Then Gu Lanjun played Pan Jinlian in Wu Song and Pan Jinlian. The screenwriter Ouyang Yuqian wrote Pan Jinlian as a woman with personality liberation and rebellious spirit. Gu Lanjun treats Pan Jinlian as an unfortunate woman who "yearns for a happy life" and finally "falls into the trap of adulterers", and plays the "tragic character" Pan Jinlian vividly. The film is composed of Jin Yan as Wu Song, Liu Jiqun as Wu Da, Liu Qiong as XiMenqing and Xia Xia as Wang Po. They are all outstanding. Nature was all the rage.
In 1939, Gu Lanjun starred in three ancient costume films: "Wu Zetian", "Wang Xifeng's havoc in ningguofu" and "Ge nenniang". Wu Zetian is written by Ke Ling, directed by Fang Peilin and played by Gu Lanjun. From youth to old age, Gu Lanjun plays very vividly. Later, in Li Xiangjun, LAN Jun portrayed Li Xiangjun as an affectionate and talented woman who would rather be a broken jade than a broken one.
From the early autumn of 1939 to the spring of 1940, Gu Lanjun and Chen yunshang had two great events in the film world. On July 5, 1939, good friend pictorial held a charity sale of star photos to raise relief money for refugees. The price of general photos is 5 yuan, and the price of large photos is not capped. Chen yunshang's 30 inch magnified jade photo was sold at 1500 yuan by fans. It's amazing! Gu Lanjun's jade photo of the same size was carried by the fans, and finally sold for 6000 yuan, which became a sensation.
by juggling with deceit made it real
Naturally, there are many fans pursuing Gu Lanjun. The most enthusiastic one is the one who bought her a jade photo with 6000 yuan. This man is known as "a mountain man". His real name is Gu Qianlin. He has literary talent and wealth, but he also has a wife and children. Gu Lanjun didn't refuse his support, but he didn't want to be a third party to destroy his family life and keep a strict distance with him emotionally.
In 1940, Xu Xinfu edited and directed Huang Tianba. Gu Lanjun acted as the heroine Zhang Guiying and Li Ying as the hero Huang Tianba. They perform a love story between a hero and a beauty in the film, only to make it come true. Xu Xinfu and his wife quickly reminded Gu Lanjun not to do it rashly, because Li Ying is a sentimental seed. But Gu Lanjun has been infatuated with her mind, stubborn and daring. She simply moved out of her brother-in-law's house to rent a house and live alone. Soon after, they both starred in Li Ying's self-made and self directed film "flowers of misfortune". After the completion of the film, they announced their marriage.
Soon after her marriage, Li Ying was tired of Gu Lanjun. But Gu Lanjun endured humiliation and was determined to make new clothes. Besides filming, she always stayed at home to take care of children and design new clothes. Her new style cheongsam and "bicycle suit" soon became popular in the market.
Gu Lanjun's unfortunate marriage lasted for about three years, and finally broke up. She readily admitted her mistake to her brother-in-law and sister, but in front of outsiders, she did not say a word of regret. When the reporter asked her how she thought of Li Ying, she said, "I don't love or hate him. He once supported and helped me out of the shadow circle. I am grateful to him."
She refers to the fact that after the fall of Shanghai, the Japanese controlled the film industry in Shanghai, and Gu Lanjun could not bear to make films under the rule of the enemy and the puppets. In the autumn of 1943, when her contract with Zoomlion expired, with the support of Li Ying, she broke away from the film industry decisively and organized "Silver Star Travel Troupe" to go north to perform plays in major cities, showing her patriotism.
Gu Lanjun married Liao Yunshi, manager of Huichang business company in early 1949. She became the "Huichang" factory director specializing in fire hose. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, in the name of "Huichang", she invited Zhou Shoujuan to write a movie script of "marriage affairs" to praise the new marriage law. Directed by Xu Changlin, she played the leading role. This is her last film. This is the last film she starred in. She still loves movies and plays. She is a member of the Jing'an District Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference and the president of the art school. She organized the performance of the Peking Opera Fan Changjiang. She was so excited that she went all over the stage and died of cerebral hemorrhage due to overwork. That year, I was filming the TV play fortress besieged. It was a lifelong regret that I failed to take part in the farewell ceremony.
Gu Lanjun worked as a filmmaker for 10 years with 37 Works. He died in Shanghai in October 1989.
