Forced by her life, she became a "street angel" in the area of Minsheng Road. After that, ye Qiuxin, who was destitute, had to leave Wuhan, and with the flow of refugees, he was exiled.

After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, ye Qiuxin returned to Hankou, cheered up, and returned to the stage. She lived in seclusion for 30 years, remarried twice, and her husband died before her.

In the 1980s, Wan Shengding and WAN Chengzhong finally found ye Qiuxin's whereabouts in Caidian wire drawing factory after collecting literature and history about old Wuhan. When Wuhan was just liberated, ye Qiuxin stayed alone after performing in Caidian town with his mobile troupe. First, he worked as a part-time laborer for the town's Hongxing distillery to carry coarse bran for a living. Later, he transferred to a wire drawing factory as a worker until he retired.

"Ye Qiuxin in front of us is already an old woman." She recalled her film career to Wan Shengding and WAN Chengzhong. It's hard to recall the past. The neighbors around her didn't know that this ordinary female worker who lived with them day and night was once a famous beauty in Chinese film circles.

After ye settled in Caidian, he had two marriages. Unfortunately, both husbands died before her. In 1984, ye Qiuxin died of cerebral hemorrhage. Wan Shengding revealed that her son, born to Zhang Mingsheng, now lives in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province. Before ye was born, mother and son met once.
