Early experience
In 1925, Guan Haishan was born in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Since childhood, he has been studying with his father Guan Yaohui in Liyuan Cantonese Opera Troupe.
In 1936, he began to enter the opera industry. He is a versatile Cantonese Opera student. He is active in the Cantonese opera stage on the street and is good at playing handsome students and dignitaries. He once joined the new sound troupe led by famous Cantonese Opera actors Ren Jianhui and Bai Xuexian.
In 1937, after the Anti Japanese War, Guan Haishan came to Hong Kong for development.
In 1950, he began to participate in film performances; by 1960, Guan Haishan had been promoted to the "chief Xiaosheng" of Cantonese films.
Acting experience
In 1962, he played Tang Seng in the film "red boy"; in the same year, he played Lin simian in the film "justice for wife"; later, he played Wang Cheng in the film "fire dragon swallows two tigers".
In 1963, he took part in the film "not beheading Loulan, vowing not to return it"; in the same year, he took part in the film "sixteen years of war".

Personal life

Guan Haishan has experienced four marriages (the first three marriages are not officially registered), and has four daughters and three sons: including the adopted daughter of his first wife (who met him in Guangzhou), the eldest son of his second wife Huang Li (who met him in Vietnam), the second son Guan Cong (former wireless Xiaosheng), his daughter Guan Wanqing, and the daughter of his third wife ye Errui (who met him in Malaysia) Guan Zhiying and his youngest son, Guan Kewei, born to her last wife, Zeng Dirong (who met her in Singapore).
Death
After a stroke in 2001, Guan Haishan faded out of the entertainment industry. In the early morning of September 11, 2006, Guan Haishan was found stiff by his wife at his residence. He was sent to the hospital for treatment and died at about 7 am. He was 82 years old.
