Yuan Xiaotian was born in Beiping (Beijing) in 1912. He is good at martial arts.

In 1937, Yuan Xiaotian went to Hong Kong at the invitation of Xue juexian, the red star of Cantonese opera, to direct the fighting scenes of the northern school in Cantonese opera.

In 1939, Yuan Xiaotian took advantage of his skills to enter the film industry, and was engaged in martial arts doubles in martial arts films. His first film, the great Xia of Kanto, was the stand in for the famous actress Wu Lizhu.

In 1960, Yuan Xiaotian became the first martial arts director in the history of Chinese film with the Cantonese film "iron arm King Kong". He was also the first filmmaker to take part in foreign film performances. He played a role in the British film "Beijing 55 days" and directed the martial arts scenes in the film. He later performed in more than ten international films. He was also an important figure in "Huang Feihong's films" during the period of Guan Dexing, and showed his unique martial arts skills of the northern school on the screen;

In 1970, Yuan Xiaotian retired from the front of the screen and passed on his skills to his successor.

In 1977, Yuan Xiaotian played Jackie Chan's famous works "drunken boxing" and "snake shaped tricky hands" with a playful attitude, which made him famous. His image of Su Qier also became the object of imitation in Kung Fu comedies.

Later, he once again "got angry" and starred in kung fu films such as "old man's fist steamed bread", "blind fist ghost hand", "drunken Knight Su Qi'er", "sleeping fist strange move", "south and North drunken fist". In 1980, Yuan Xiaotian, a generation of Wu Zhi and actor, died of lung cancer in Hong Kong.
