Character evaluation
Zhao Deyin's films show a kind of strong vitality and unique aesthetics of "barbaric growth", which is worth looking forward to. Most of his works focus on Myanmar's life, recording Myanmar's society's political power and changes of the times in a realistic way, as well as the painstaking life of the little people (Sohu online review). Zhao Deyin gradually established his own image style in his "return to hometown Trilogy". He added magical and surreal elements to the documentary technique, adding desolation to the barren land of northern Myanmar (online review of 21 finance and Economics). Zhao Deyin's works pick up the pain of the world, but from the perspective of bending over, he turns to the artistic view that is close to cleanliness (Phoenix Online Review). In farewell to tile City, Zhao Deyin uses surreal shooting techniques to maximize the audience's imagination, complement the conservative and convergent style of the whole film, and even bring the film to a higher level. His future potential is unlimited (netease.com.cn review).
