Juan

Juan, formerly known as Hu Xiaoping, was born in Beijing in 1956. She is a Chinese film director and screenwriter. She graduated from contracosta University in San Francisco and Business School of New York University.

In 1979, he went to the United States to study at his own expense. In 1985, after receiving a master of Arts degree from the Business School of New York University, he worked in a multinational company in New York. In 1987, he served as vice chairman and vice president of C & A investment group. In 1990, he resigned from all business positions.

In 1992, he entered new York University to study film course, and wrote and directed his first film "old tales of mountains and rivers". In 2000, the film "xixijing" was released in Chinese mainland. Early experience

In 1956, Juan was born in Beijing. Her original name was Hu Xiaoping. When she was born, she was caught in the extremely hot summer for many years. Acting experience

During the summer vacation of 1992, Juan entered new York University to study film course. During that time, she also wrote and directed her first film "old tales of mountains and rivers", which has also won certain repercussions in the international film world and attracted great attention from the Chinese community in the United States. After that, Juan registered Zian production company as her future base for film art.

In 1996, Juan watched the script of the two screenwriters, "Ding Jun Shan", and then bought the script and revised it. He was called "the Western Mirror". The film was launched in Beijing in 1998, the first 35 millimeter movie directed by her. It was also the first professional work, from the United States, Germany, Japan, China Taiwan and Chinese mainland (Beijing film studio). The film was written in Beijing in 1998. The investment reached 5 million US dollars.

In March 2, 2000, the movie "Western Mirror" was shown in Chinese mainland, and its overseas copyright was purchased at a high price by the US SONY classic (SONYPICTURESCLASSIC). Juan also won the best cross media adaptation screenplay award and the best director award nomination for the 37th Taiwan Film Golden Horse Award.

In February 14, 2005, Juan's film "beauty still" was shown in Chinese mainland and won the first prize of the Spring Festival Valentine's Day box office. The film was released in September 13, 2007 in North America premiere and began on two days in 19 theaters in New York.

In 2006, with the birth of her daughter, Juan shifted her focus to family, spent 10 years with her daughter with dyslexia and seeking professional guidance. After her child "returned to normal", she wrote the play "colorful" based on her own experience.

A riot of colours was launched in January 25, 2018, and Juan's shooting was selected in three counties in Taizhou, Zhejiang. She wanted to appeal to people to treat the problem correctly. The film was released in Chinese mainland in December 4, 2020.
