experience
Wu Lan, a native of Jingyuan County, Gansu Province, lived in Nanguan County, then moved to hongzuizi village. Although "the ancestors showed their martial arts skills", Mr. Zhi's family was poor and cold. After Tongzhi's war, there were only a few rafters and broken houses, few grains, and the stove was gray and cold. His first king was diligent and self-supporting. He used to cook cakes in the city for his son to study in an old school. He wrote about it in his family biography. At that time, after school, he also went to the market to help sell. So far, Jingyuan spread that "Chen Guojun's scholar and Gongsheng were rolled out of steamed bread." And left behind the allegorical saying: "Chen Guojun sell steamed bread in what.". I once saw that the foreskin of the book that Mr. Tongzhi read was mixed in size with regular script. There was almost no white paper. It seemed that he had read it over and over again, and it was full of ink. It was unidentifiable. This is the proof of his hard work. After giving tribute, he set up a school to teach. He once served as the record room of General Ma Fuxiang in Jingyuan xieying camp. He also taught young Jun Hongbin and Hongkui, and eventually became a feudal official.
Calligraphy attainments
Chen Guojun is a famous calligrapher in Gansu Province. He had a close relationship with Liu Erxin, a famous calligrapher in Gansu Province. In his early years, he studied "Lanting", and later on, he studied Wei calligraphy and Jinshi Guzhen. He studied Da Zhuan and Xiao Zhuan, especially Deng Wenzhuo's Ci, calligraphy and painting. In his later years, he began to study huaisu calligraphy. In the early years, calligraphy works were elegant and beautiful, light but not vulgar, flowing and comfortable, and full of masculinity. In the later period, they were vigorous, bold, free and easy, majestic and powerful, and were praised as "magic brush". During his stay in Lanzhou in 1925, he raised money with his fellow countrymen Li xinghuan and Zhao Huantang to reprint Daoguang's Jingyuan County annals, which saved the rare edition of the local annals. Chen Jun was honest and upright, modest in fame and wealth. During the Anti Japanese War, many patriotic poems were written, which reflected strong national integrity. Chen Guojun's calligraphy works are handed down from generation to generation, and are widely collected among the people. The county library keeps his family letter "Ji Jin Ji", which he wrote to his wife during his service in Hezhou Town Office, as well as some used calligraphy scripts. Chen Guojun's calligraphy works are included in Lanzhou stele forest.
