Duan ran, male, is a commentator / host. He is currently a commentator of Tencent NBA channel. He joined the industry in 2002 and worked as a sports columnist of Yahoo in Beijing. In 2003, he independently created Tencent's NBA page. From 2004 to 2006, he followed several NBA teams in the United States. In 2006, he began to explain NBA games in major institutions. In 2009, he went back to Los Angeles to study sports master's degree and was hired as the host of NBA entertainment. In 2012, he returned to Tencent to participate in NBA Live Broadcasting.

"In fact, I was a basketball commentator more than ten years ago," Duan ran recalled. "In 2006, I served as a commentator on live broadcasting platforms such as Beijing TV, Hunan TV and NBA official website for three consecutive years."

In 2008-09 season, Duan ran began to be the host of NBA Live broadcast on Qinghai Satellite TV, and his combination with Ma Jian was also loved and sought after by many fans.

"But to be honest, the influence of the live broadcast platform at that time can't be compared with what it is now," Duan ran said. "So later, I was well known by the majority of fans when I was making live connection for Tencent live broadcast, but in fact I was born as a commentator."
