Before she came into contact with Buddhism, Liu Lanxi never thought that she would become a monk one day, just like she never expected to be engaged in performing arts. In order to put everything down and further study the Dharma, she waited for five years before slowly letting her family accept it. Fortunately, her husband was very supportive of her and agreed to let her cross the world. In July 1991, Liu Lanxi said goodbye to his 31 year life in the world of mortals and became a monk. On the day of shaving, her parents stood beside her in tears. Liu Lanxi, who was devoted to Buddhism, was very upset! Liu Lanxi firmly knelt on the ground, eyes straight ahead, she told herself: "don't cry! Don't cry Tears in her eyes kept spinning, never fell. During her early years as a monk, Liu Lanxi was not used to the group life in the Buddhist College, especially when she had to cook a large pot of food for more than 200 people every day and held a shovel ten times the size of her family. Because there are too many fans who care about her becoming a monk, half a year later, at the 49 day "Jingjin Zen seven" practice meeting held in Lingquan temple, she was dressed in grey cloth cassock, monk's shoes and socks. She was interviewed by the media as "Daorong mage". She revealed that learning Buddhism made her feel quiet and comfortable, and even laugh in her dreams. In April 1997, during the Dalai Lama's visit to Taiwan, Liu Lanxi, as a "Daorong mage", served as a pivotal translator for the Dalai Lama, and received special media interviews. She said again and again that it was not because of the negative impact that she became a monk, but because of the encouragement and influence of her fellow practitioners (teachers), she made great efforts to study the Buddhist scriptures. From then on, she formed an indissoluble bond with the Buddha and naturally embarked on this path. She also revealed that learning Buddhism made her more and more happy. looking back on the past, master Daorong confessed that she had stepped on many people's tears all the way. It was a rare reason that she could stick to her ideals. She would cherish her happiness. For everything in the past, she used to describe it as "past". As for many audiences who still remember her pure appearance and her songs and movies, master Daorong is deeply honored. She thinks it is also a valuable experience to live in other people's hearts. in the future, master Daorong will be actively engaged in translation and education. She is already a graduate student in the Buddhist Institute. She also studies Tibetan, Sanskrit and Latin. Master Daorong believes that learning Buddhism is a convenient and economical way to seek happiness, and the joy of enlightenment cannot be taken away by the outside world.
