Early experience

In 1977, Yang Zhigang was born in Chengde City, Hebei Province. As a child, Yang Zhigang was very naughty because of his inferiority complex.

In 1992, 14-year-old Yang Zhigang had poor grades. Guo Jingyu, brother of Chengde drama company, suggested that he study dance in Hebei art school. Yang Zhigang entered the dance department of the school and studied classical dance for six years. He had no dance foundation at all and became the best in the class.

In 1998, he studied in ballet Department of Beijing Dance Academy.

In 1999, encouraged by his elder brother Guo Jingyu, Yang Zhigang was admitted to the performance Department of Beijing Film Academy. He was in the same class with Yao Chen, Du Chun and Ling Xiaosu.

In 2001, Yang Zhigang joined the Communist Party of China.

Acting experience

In 2003, Yang Zhigang, a sophomore at Beijing Film Academy, starred in the film "the seventeen year old of Lu Ma" directed by Zhang Jiarui, in which he played a man with long hair and all kinds of cool things.

In 2004, he co starred with Liu Jian and Li Youbin in the TV series "Jiangtang concentration camp", playing Ma Jinlong, deputy company commander of guard company of KMT's mixed 39 division.

Yang Zhigang's four brothers are old and young.
