Profile
Kelvin Tong, a Singaporean director, is a former Singapore film critic.
Character experience
Tang Yongjian's passion for drama and film began in his high school days. After graduating from high school, he studied in the law department of Victoria junior college and worked as an intern in a law firm. After graduation, he began to write for the straits times as a film critic until his first comedy, eating wind, in 1999. Meanwhile, in 1996, he also made the short film "moveable fast".
In 2006, the film "love story" was produced with the support of the Asia Star guide program. (Andy Lau was the leading sponsor, aiming to find new directors, and crazy stone was also one of the films funded that year.)
Character evaluation
Tang Yongjian is the only local director who has not received funding from the Singapore Film Council. Is it stupid? This is his backbone. Just as his company refused to take music videos in order to concentrate on making movies, he once gave up two jobs with a salary of 5 million yuan because he didn't want to go against his ideas. "I want something in this is ground," he said I want to do real and down-to-earth things
