Character evaluation
Sima you, who left his hometown to find a director's dream in China, is fluent in Chinese reading and writing. His self edited and self directed "king of Beijing" is full of Beijing flavor. After watching it, it's hard to imagine that it's a film made by a western director. The film fully demonstrates Sima you's respect for the film. He creates a wonderful story, just like a love letter written to the film. It seems like a comedy, but in fact it is full of little people feelings. Compared with cheese Ma you's maiden work red light dream, the king of Beijing is more mature, more organized, clearer and more beautiful. As a foreign director, Sima you came to shoot the Chinese people's affairs in the room. His angle is very curious, but his attitude is very sincere.
