Character evaluation
Tan Jiaming is an important figure in the new wave movement of Hong Kong film in the 1980s. He directed such highly stylized films as famous sword and love to kill. From the famous sword, the final victory to the killer butterfly dream, there are some flaws in his works. However, in his 1989 shooting of the killer butterfly dream, the "shaking" scene of a hand-held camera by Zhong Zhentao to escape the pursuit is almost the rudiment of Lin Qingxia's shuttling through the Chongqing building in the later Chongqing forest, and he is a fan The editing of true story makes Wong Kar Wai's film a great leap forward from the green of Mongkok Carmen.
Tan Jiaming is a low-key photographer who is quite accomplished in screenwriting, directing, editing, art and music. At the same time, he is also a director who is good at exploring the temperament of stars. In his early works, we can see many familiar stars, such as Wang Zuxian and Liang Chaowei in killer butterfly dream, Zhong Chuhong in Xueer, and so on.
