Zhao Qi
Zhao Qi, a Chinese documentary producer and director, is the first Chinese to win the Emmy, Evans, golden horse, Sundance and Asia Pacific Film Awards. He is the producer of the documentary film "the train home", which won the best documentary and best long business report awards at the 2012 American Emmy Awards. He also won the Evans award at the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival, the highest documentary award in the world. His other film "a thousand tests" won the 49th Taiwan Golden Horse Award for best documentary. As a director, his first documentary film "Shangcheng" is the only Chinese Film Nominated for the best documentary of the 2013 Sundance International Film Festival. His producer "mayor of China" (also known as "Datong") won the 2015 Sundance International Film Festival Award, the 2015 Golden Horse Award for best documentary and the 2015 APSA Asia Pacific Film Award. As the chief director, he directed the first documentary variety show "adventure life" in China in 2018, which won the annual reality show of the 19th China Video list; and the most influential ten documentary awards in China in 2018.

Zhao Qi graduated from the Department of foreign languages of Wuhan University in 1996 with a double degree in English and law, and joined CCTV in the same year. From 2002 to 2003, he was sent to the UK to study documentary director and international production at the University of London with a master's degree.
