In the autumn of 1991, Zhang Hongjie was invited by the crew of the TV drama romance of the Three Kingdoms to act as assistant director.
In 1994, Zhang Hongjie was favored by the head of Jilin quyi troupe and transferred from Gongzhuling to Changchun. In the same year, Du Lijuan, the screenwriter of the film "Jiuxiang", went to Jilin quyi troupe to find an actor. After being recommended, she found Zhang Hongjie. In 2014, he co starred with Gao Ziqi, Cai Lin and Gauss in the modern legendary TV drama "Li's courtyard", playing Li chengrang's father, Li Mingxiu. In the same year, he played a domineering father-in-law Gao Hengyuan in the urban family emotional drama divorce agreement.
