The national anthem is a song that expresses the national spirit of a country. It is considered by the government and the people to represent the will of the government and the people of the country. It is used to praise and encourage the confidence and cohesion of a nation. Generally speaking, they are full of patriotism and call for people's deep national feelings.
The National Anthem of the people's Republic of China is "March of the volunteers". The National Anthem law of the people's Republic of China adopted at the 29th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress on September 1, 2017 clearly stipulates that the standard score and official recorded version of the National Anthem should be published on the website of the people's Congress of China and the website of the Chinese government.
On November 4, 2017, the 30th session of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress voted and passed the amendment to the criminal law of the people's Republic of China (10), which included the act of insulting the national anthem, stipulating that anyone who insults the National Anthem in public, if the circumstances are serious, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention, public surveillance or deprivation of political rights.
In February 2021, the supplementary provisions of the Supreme People's court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate on the execution and determination of charges (7) stipulated the charges of insulting the national flag, national emblem and national anthem.
Development history
The Netherlands is the first country in the world to have a national anthem. In 1569, in order to resist the rule and oppression of the Spanish rulers, the Dutch people sang "Ode to William" (William of orange), rushed to the enemy and defeated the Spanish rulers.
The Dutch people love this song which represents the national spirit. Later, the song became the National Anthem of the Netherlands. Since then, many countries have tried to imitate each other and worked out their own national anthem.
Use occasion
The so-called national anthem represents the spirit, fighting spirit, fighting course or grand goal of a country or a nation, represents the voice of the people, and can also be the epitome of the history of a country or a nation.
The national anthem is used on many occasions. National holiday, daily performance. Sports competitions are also commonly used. When presenting medals in the Olympic Games and World Championships, the National Anthem of the gold medal winner is played. In some countries, schools play the national anthem to students. In other countries, the national anthem is played in theaters and cinemas before the screening. In the United States, the national anthem is played before many sports events. Many TV stations play the national anthem before it starts in the morning and after it stops at night.

There are many and different national anthems in the world. Some are products of national struggle, some are hymns of peaceful times, some describe the natural scenery and geographical environment of their own country, and some describe the ancient history of their country.
The Chinese National Anthem "March of the volunteers" (written by Tian Han, composed by Nie Er) originated from the Anti Japanese War; the British National Anthem "God save the Queen", lyrics from the Bible; the French national anthem was originally named "battle song of the Rhine army". In 1792, Marseilles, a revolutionary soldier group, sang this battle song and marched into Paris, so it was called "Marseilles", which was designated as the National Anthem by the French revolutionary government in 1795; the American National Anthem The song "Star Spangled Banner" uses the melody of "anaclion in heaven".
